Terms of Use

Welcome to novantum.lv (in English: analytics.novantum.app) and the Novantum app dashboard.novantum.app (hereinafter “the Service”, “the Application” or “We”). These Terms of Use (hereinafter “the Terms”) set out how you (hereinafter “the User” or “You”) may access and use our website and data analytics application.

By registering on novantum.lv or analytics.novantum.app, or by using the Application at dashboard.novantum.app, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Description of the Service

Novantum (novantum.lv, analytics.novantum.app and dashboard.novantum.app) is web-based software (SaaS) that provides data visualisation, analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) insight services.

1.1. “Local-First” architecture: We use a local-first approach. The data files you upload (CSV, Excel) are processed and stored in your device’s browser (using IndexedDB technology). We do not store your business data on our servers. If you connect your store (WooCommerce, Shopify), orders reach your browser through our proxy server; the proxy server does not store them. For AI features, only summaries are sent through our server, and the server does not store their content (see section 5 and the Privacy Policy).

2. User account

2.1. To use the Service, you must create an account and provide true and up-to-date information (email, name).
2.2. You are responsible for the security of your password. Novantum is not liable for losses arising if third parties access your account due to your negligence.
2.3. One account is intended for one user. Sharing access credentials with other persons is prohibited and may lead to the account being blocked.

3. Subscriptions and payments

3.1. Payment processing: Payments for the Service are processed by our partner Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.
3.2. Plans: The Service is offered in different tiers (Free, Pro, Premium). The features of each plan are described on our pricing page.
3.3. Automatic renewal: Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel the subscription at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
3.4. Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time in your profile settings at dashboard.novantum.app. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. No refunds are made for a partially used period, except where required by the laws of the Republic of Latvia.

4. Intellectual property

4.1. Ownership: The entire Application, including its source code, algorithms, design, the “Novantum” brand and the “Data Engine” functionality, is the exclusive property of NOVANTUM SIA.
4.2. Restrictions: The User is strictly prohibited from:

  • Reverse engineering the Application’s source code, decompiling it or attempting to decipher its data processing logic.
  • Copying, modifying or distributing parts of the Application.
  • Using the Application to build a competing product.
  • Attempting to circumvent the Application’s security systems or licensing restrictions.

In the event of a breach, we reserve the right to block access immediately and to take legal action to recover damages.

5. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and disclaimer

5.1. Some features of the Service use artificial intelligence technologies (e.g., Google Gemini) to provide business recommendations and forecasts.
5.2. Informational nature: All AI-generated recommendations, forecasts and analyses are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional financial, legal or business advice.
5.3. Accuracy: AI technologies can make mistakes (“hallucinate”). You take full responsibility for any decisions you make based on the data provided by the Application. Novantum is not liable for financial losses arising from reliance on AI recommendations.

6. Data protection and privacy

6.1. We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms.
6.2. You retain full ownership of the data you upload to the Application. We do not use your business data for any purpose other than providing the Service.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1. The Service is provided “as is”, without any warranties of uninterrupted operation or absence of errors.
7.2. To the extent permitted by law, Novantum is not liable for any indirect losses, loss of profit, data or reputation arising from the use of the Service.

8. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time. We will inform you of material changes by email or by a notice in the Application. By continuing to use the Service after the changes, you agree to the new Terms.

9. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through negotiation or, if that fails, in a court of the Republic of Latvia.
